I'm thinking about making a purchase from Guy Antique Gallery in Japan; however, I wanted to get some feedback regarding the reliablity of this business. So if anyone has purchased anything from Moktar and Guy Antique Gallery, I'd like to hear about your experiences with them.

Thanks in advance.

I have purchased many robots over the years from Moktar, some of which were very expensive, and have always been happy. Great service, and total professionalism. He's one of the few dealers I buy from sight-unseen if I get a call.

Hi Pacobird,

I've also purchased two robots from Moktar. His prices are a little high...but the robots he has are in VERY nice condition. He's serious and ships very fast...

I've never bought from him, but I've emailed him a few times about some robots. He always answered my emails quickly, and I found his prices to be fair enough. The only reason I haven't bought anything from him is that he never has anything I want when I have an influx of money... and when I do have money, someone's already beaten me to the toy that I'd want! But I guess that's the sign of a successful dealer -- his stock rotates often. smile.gif

Good luck, and if you decide to buy, let us know what you get!

Morktar and Sumihiro are totally professional. I have purchased several very nice robots from them over the years and have always been satisfied with both the quality of the bots and the service.

Moktar is one of the best sellers of robots, space toys and Tintin memorabilia; he can find you almost anything if you have a little patience; gives you a 100% reliable description, very honest guy....

Yes - if there would only be one respectable seller out on this earth - this should be MOKTAR from the GUY ANTIQUE GALLERY. I'm still very happy with this mint laser robot in near mint box he explored for me the last time. THANK YOU MOKTAR !!! With this base flattery I should be the candidate for this biggest discount. . . . tongue.gif

P.S. Hey duxastrogirl . . . very nice to have you here!!! I had made the decision the other way round - collecting the robot style one first ( . . . yes I'm also a "tinhead") . . . but then - you know it - theres no money left for the also very beautiful astronauts . . .

Thanks everyone for your feedback on Guy Antique Gallery in Japan. Because of your favorable testimonials, I decided to go ahead with my purchase with them. However, the robot I was originally interested in was on hold for someone else who didn't show up, and therefore, Moktar offered it to me. Now, the original guy is planning to go through with the deal this weekend, so I probably won't be getting it. I guess a little competition always helps motivate people.

Anyway, they have many other nice items on their site, and now I know that I can buy with confidence from Guy Antique Gallery.
